YWA Activities

Gertrude Artist Schedule
Our continuing demonstrators for 2011 are as follows:

November 19th—Suzie Stach, pastel. Suzie will begin a landscape in pastels by doing an under painting with Mineral Spirits/Turpenoid, and then working pastel on top.

Please plan to join the YWA every third Saturday of the month (September—May) for an informative demonstration, good food, and to meet local artists.

The Yosemite Western Artists event starts at 11:30, but you’ll want to come early to get a good seat at the Gertrude School House, located on Rd. 600 in Ahwahnee (Rd. 600 intersects Highway 49, about 5 miles westerly of Oakhurst on Highway 49).

The Public is welcome to join YWA members for a potluck luncheon and to enjoy our demonstrators.

YWA offers a variety of outings, guest speakers, and other activities throughout the year. Members interested in suggesting or planning activities please contact Rita Adams at 559-683-3087. All arts are welcome including painting, photography, woodcarving, ceramics, jewelry, etc.

Activities at Gertrude School
YWA meetings at the Gertrude School include a brief meeting, a potluck lunch and an artist's demo. There is usually a fee of $5 for members and $10 for guests. Contact Rita Adams for meeting dates and times at 559-683-3087.
